CONVOCATORIA

Aire Libre and Hotel Hacienda Tres Ríos proudly present the second edition of their triathlon and cordially invite all athletes, triathletes, runners, cyclists, swimmers, and the general public to the sprint triathlon:

1. ABOUT THE EVENT

Aire Libre brings you the third edition of our very own Triatlón Sprint Hacienda Tres Ríos, where all the best triathletes in Mexico will come together.

Mixed Relay groups: Formed by 2 or 3 team members. At least one of them must be from the opposite gender.

IMPORTANT: All participants need to show proof of age during registration with an official document (Birth certificate, CURP or passport). This is mandatory in order to receive the competitor´s packet.

ENTRY FEES:

February 1st to May 1st May 2nd to May 20th
$ 900 pesos for all individual categories $ 1,100 pesos for all individual categories
$ 1,500 per relay team $ 1,800 per relay team

3. PACKET PICK UP

Date: Saturday May 25, 2013.
Location: Hotel Hacienda Tres Rios Main Room
Time: 10:00 hrs a 14:00 hrs.

Bag Goodies:

Any competitor who does not pick up his/her bag at the established time and place will lose all registration rights.

THERE WILL BE NO PACKET PICK UP ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT

Each athlete needs to show an official ID and PERSONALLY sign the responsibility waiver at the time and place of the packet pickup.

Packets will ONLY be handed to the competitor him/herself and ONLY at the time and place established for registration.

MANDATORY PRE-RACE MEETING

Date: Saturday. May 25. 14:00 hrs

TRANSITION ZONE(ZTR)

Athletes must check in their bikes in Transition Area (ZTR) on Saturday, May 25 between 10:00 hrs a 18:00 hrs. Only bikes will left in ZTR during bike check-in. No helmets, shoes or any other personal gear will be allowed.

NO BIKES WILL BE CHECKED-IN THE DAY OF THE RACE. Once they have been checked in, they will be kept at the transition area (ZTR) and can be picked up once the event has concluded or at the time slot established by the Organizing Committee

IMPORTANT: The Organizing Committee and Hotel Hacienda Tres Rios Will not be responsible for any bicycles left in the transition area after the established time.

PRIZES

There will be prizes for the first three places male and female.

The first three places in each category will be mentioned during the award ceremony and will receive a diploma.

BODY MARKING

Arms and legs will be marked during bike registration at the transition area (ZTR).
THERE WILL BE NO BODY MARKING THE DAY OF THE EVENT..

RESULTS

a) Unofficial: Will be posted right after the event.
b) Official: Will be published on May 27th after 12:00 hrs.

4. GENERAL INFORMATION

a) Aid Stations:
Will be located at the Transition Area (ZTR). During the running course, they will be located at Km 1, 2.5 y 4. There will also be an aid station at the recovery area. Aid stations will provide water, isotonic beverages, sports drinks, and personal assistance from our volunteers.

b) Judges:
Will be assigned by the Organizing Committee according to the official FMTRI regulations and their decisions will be final.

c) Rules and regulations:
The current FMTRI (Federación Mexicana de Triatlón) handbook.

d) Drafting:
Drafting will be allowed, so you have to keep in mind the following rules:

All starting times will be confirmed during the pre-race meeting.



e) Medical Assistance
We recommend that you have a full physical exam before the race. Your health is your responsibility and not the Organizing Committee. Medical assistance will be available in case of an accident or emergency.

f) Parking
Hotel Hacienda Tres Ríos. We will have transportation from the main highway to the event.

g) Others
nforeseen technical issues will be handled by the Organizing Committee.

h) Weather
In case of bad weather, the Organizing Committee will decide whether or not to go ahead with the event in order to look out for the athlete´s safety. However, there will be no refunds if the event should get cancelled.
